Welcome!

If we don’t know each other yet, you may be here because you are struggling with life’s challenges, or contemplating change. Booking your first appointment can be daunting — especially if you feel lost or at a low ebb. I can help you with that by giving you a safe, confidential space where you can talk, and be listened to, with empathy and without judgement.

My mission is to help you connect with your authentic self, grow in self-awareness, and make the positive changes you desire. No matter what stage of life you are in, change is always possible, to improve your wellbeing and build the life you want.

As a Psychologist, I bring 35 years of professional experience, working in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Cambridge (United Kingdom). I am fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI). I regularly undertake professional training to remain informed about the latest developments in Psychology.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Rachel

I acknowledge the Jagera people and the Turrbal people as the Traditional Custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane) and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Perimenopause & Menopause Support

A beach with waves washing up on the shore, with sandy cliffs and vegetation in the background under a blue sky with some clouds.

I have a special interest in supporting women going through perimenopause and menopause, as navigating this phase can be an absolute roller coaster ride, both physically and emotionally! While many women are aware of the physical changes, far fewer are prepared for the psychological impact of fluctuating and declining hormone levels, that can trigger:

  • Depression

  • Mood swings

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Brain fog

  • Irritability or rage

  • Low self esteem

  • Loss of joy or motivation

  • Low libido

  • Insomnia

  • Identity crisis

For many women, this stage of life coincides with other significant pressures - juggling the demands of work, with caring for children and aging parents -  which can make it feel particularly overwhelming. No one should have to go through this testing time alone!

If you are struggling, please know that support is available. While the perimenopause and menopause transition can be deeply challenging, it can also be an opportunity for incredible growth, wisdom and positive change.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychological support and am committed to helping you feel more confident and like yourself again. Please feel free to get in touch today to arrange a confidential consultation.

Bespoke Care

Working as a Psychologist for 35 years, I have had the great privilege of meeting with many different people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I have learned that there is no one size that fits all when it comes to therapy, and I will customise therapeutic approaches according to your unique needs.

Regardless of which therapeutic strategies we use, the foundation of my work with you is about building a respectful connection and supporting your growth to make positive change.

My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and LGBTQI + friendly.

Please get in touch if you are interested in either a face-to-face or telehealth appointment. I would love to hear from you.
